Kaslo is located on Kootenay Lake between the Selkirk and Purcell Mountains. Visit the drydocked SS Moyie paddle wheeler, which is the world's oldest intact passenger sternwheeler. She is now the Visitor Information Centre and a National Historic Site. Golf, boat, fish, hike, camp or visit nearby hot springs. Normally on the August long weekend there is a well attended jazz festival to enjoy.

Kaslo accommodations include campgrounds, resorts, bed and breakfasts, cottages, motels, and cabins.
