Noodle Box

A couple of months back I was sitting with some friends and we were discussing good food places to eat at because let’s face it, I am a food junkie. One of my friends said that they had just gotten a job at this place called Noodle Box. All that was going on in my head was Noodles…. Sounds amazing…. Where is this place and where can I get some?

The following day I told my friend about it and we decided to go because it was five minutes away from my school. When we got there the place had a very chic modern look to it. They had paintings on the wall that were actually for sale, which was cool. I saw that they had their menu on this huge board and you had to order before you sat down. The moment I ordered my food, and tasted it, I was hooked.

Now the menu itself does not have a huge selection but it had a fair number of items. For just a small lunch they had these delicious shrimp lettuce wraps, and Canadian spring rolls. For their main courses there is a section called Stir Fry: they are all noodle-based dishes, which are Asian influenced. They had this amazing Pad Thai filled with so many different vegetables, a tasty Spicy Peanut Noddle box that has their own version of peanut sauce, a black bean and garlic noodle dish which is one of their more simple choices, a Thai style chow mien, and many more. If you are looking for something like soup they have a Curry and Soup section, which I myself have not tried, but they have the classics such as Tom Yum Soup, and Singapore Cashew Curry. Anything I have had their has been so flavourful and divine. There has not been a dish I have not liked. Every week as well the kitchen staff comes up with a weekly dish that is not on the menu. I had this Spicy Dragon that was filled with udon noodles, sausages, and a variety of Asian vegetables and I literally died. I came back three times that week just to order the same thing. Also the great thing about their dishes is you have different types of protein to chose from to put in your dish: beef, chicken, shrimps, pulled pork etc. In addition to that they have about six different levels of spiciness that you can add to give your dish that extra kick. If you need another reason to fall in love with this place they also have Gluten Free noodles, for those who cannot have Gluten!

Believe me when I say this I have taken all of my friends to this place and not one has said it was not good. Do not worry if you are not in the Vancouver Area Noodle Box is also in Victoria and Alberta.
