Accommodations Delta with Local Travel Information

Delta BC accommodations give visitors access to this area situated 40 minutes south of Vancouver on the Fraser River. Known for its beautiful landscapes formed by the Fraser River, the community lies between the US border and the district of Surrey. The city of Ladner is the major administrative center for Delta.

The other major communities are Twassassen, which is on the ocean in the southwest corner of the municipality and North Delta. Both are residential communities that have enjoyed rapid growth in recent decades. Farming and dairy farming remains the major industries in the area. The BC Ferries have a major terminal at Tsawwassen, giving access to Victoria and Nanaimo on Vancouver Island and to the Gulf Islands. There is a superport designed for the shipment of coal located at Roberts Bank. Popular tourist attractions include the Burns Bog and the Riefel Bird Sanctuary, Boundary Bay Regional Park, beautiful beaches and first class shopping.
