Invermere BC is an attractive lakeside resort community on the shores of Lake Windermere in the Columbia Valley, between the Purcell and Rocky Mountains.

Located near the gateway to Kootenay National Park and a few hours drive from Banff National Park, it is a great destination for visitors. It is only a short drive to both Radium Hot Springs and Fairmont Hot Springs.

There are several excellent golf courses in the area, as well as downhill and cross-country skiing, as well as windsurfing, hiking, biking, kayaking, mountaineering, horseback riding and great trout fishing. Whitewater rafting is also popular. There are several provincial parks and other accommodations in the area. Invermere accommodation includes bed and breakfasts and motels.
