Come and visit the home of the famous Kermode white bears!

Within 30 minutes from this northwest city you can golf, snowmobile, canoe, hike, bike, fish, kayak, rock climb, canoe, ice fish, water-ski, snowshoe and ski. There are a variety of campgrounds and other accommodations.

Terrace BC is located in the beautiful Skeena Valley and was occupied by First Nations peoples for more than 5000 years. It is located 1357 km. (843 m.) from Vancouver, near Prince Rupert. Stay in Terrace accommodations and enjoy exploring this fascinating area.

European settlers came in the early 1900s and the city founder, George Little, encouraged its development, drawing pioneers to the "terraces" of the area.

The Skeena River Highway between Prince Rupert and Terrace was opened in 1944, built by Americans and Canadians working together. This road provides breathtaking scenic vistas of river, waterfalls and mountains. The Skeena River empties into the Pacific Ocean near Prince Rupert.
