We offer Alert Bay's finest accommodation in 14 modern and tastefully rejuvenated cabins each with fresh paint, hardwood floors, electric fireplaces, new furniture and beds with duvets. The cabins are very clean and spacious, and feature fully equipped modern kitchens, high speed wireless internet access and cable television.
Each cabin has a private veranda and there are picnic tables + BBQ facilities in the common areas.
We provide all the comforts of home with both single and double units available.
- Pets are welcome in designated cabins only, an additional fee of $20 CDN will be charged per night
- Cabins are available for occupancy by 3 PM and check out time is by 11 AM
- All cabins are non-smoking please
Alert Bay is located on Cormorant Island about 3 kilometres off the Northeast coast of Vancouver Island and is approximately 180 miles by water from the city of Vancouver.
How to Get to Alert Bay
By Car: Drive north on Highway 19 from Victoria or Nanaimo passing Parksville, Courtenay, Campbell River and Sayward to Port McNeill - a scenic drive on a modern highway that takes about 4 hours from Nanaimo to Port McNeill via the inland highway. Allow longer if you take the old island highway-scenic route.
By Ferry: From Port McNeill there is a Tri-Island Ferry running to Alert Bay and Sointula seven days a week. You will need to plan your arrival and departure times as the ferry travels between Alert Bay and Port McNeill approximately once every 3 hours. The terminal in Port McNeill can be reached by telephone at 250-956-4533. For a B.C. Ferries schedule go to the BC Ferries web site. Their toll-free number is 1-888-223-3779.
By Air: Scheduled air flights depart daily from Vancouver to Port Hardy with Pacific Coastal Airlines. Transportation to Port McNeill, where a connection can be made to the ferry to Alert Bay, is by Taxi Cab or the local Greyhound bus (once a day each morning).
