Jason Priestly and Family invite you to visit our Pacific Ocean Beachfront Resort on the west coast of Vancouver Island, in British Columbia, Canada. Situated in Ucluelet on beautiful Terrace Beach, our waterfront cabins are nestled in the midst of the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve - Long Beach and Wickaninnish Beach are only 10 minutes drive to the northwest, and the Broken Group Islands and the west Coast Trail to the southeast. Northwest, just beyond the Pacific Rim Park lies Tofino, a 30 minute drive.

The Wild Pacific Trail is adjacent to our Terrace Beach Resort - walk the cliffs alongside the wild Pacific Ocean to the world-famous Amphitrite Point lighthouse. Watch for whales, eagles, sea otters, and other wildlife. Another short section of the Wild Pacufic Trail wanders along Terrace Beach, with signs explaining the presence and significance of the 4000 year old midden and canoe launch site of the Yuu-cluth-aht people.

The Ucluelet First Nations' word for Terrace Beach is "Capacuwis." They would land their canoes at Terrace Beach and portage across a narrow stretch of land to re-enter the water at Spring Cove. So, we are Capacuwis Resort in the Nuu-cha-nulth language (Barclay sound dialect). Whether we say "Capacuwis Resort" or "Terrace Beach Resort"' it is the same, and we want to welcome you.

Our Ucluelet waterfront accommodation is designed to resemble a 1920 west coast fishing village built on pilings, with boardwalks that meander among the 400 year old fir, hemlock, and cedar trees leading to your fully-equipped beachfront cottage. The upper boardwalk houses our Office and many unique one and two bedroom suites, some with private hot tubs.

Ucluelet offers year-round activities - world class surfing, fishing, whale and storm watching, kayaking, hiking, cycling, birding, bear watching, plus boat and float plane tours. We have an active bald eagle nest on our Resort site, in one of the many old evergreens above our Eagle's Nest hot tub suite. We are in a temperate rain forest, with many types of deciduous and evergreen trees, many various mosses and ferns, salal and cynamocka.
