Lac La Hache BC is set in spectacular Cariboo country, about 20 km (12.4 mi.) north of 100 Mile House, and it runs along the lakeshore for 18 km (11 mi.)

The story of its origin is that a fur trader dropped his axe into this Cariboo Lake and from this the town took its name.

Visitors come to the area to fish kokanee and lake trout. Boating, swimming and water skiing are popular and nearby Mt. Timothy offers downhill skiing. Snowmobiling, ice fishing and cross-country skiing are also popular.

Lac La Hache accommodations include resorts, campgrounds, cabins and RV sites - all designed to help you enjoy your outdoor holiday.

Whether you stay in one of our Lac La Hache deluxe lakeside chalets or cabins or stay in one of our spacious tenting or RV sites, we have everything you'll need. Coin operated hot showers, clean washrooms, laundry and sani-stations. Pets on leash are welcome. Small Campstore available.
