Lake Cowichan accommodations provide visitors with a chance to explore this 62 sq. km (24 sq. mi.) lake on Vancouver Island about 100 km (62 mi.) north of Victoria.
The area has long been a popular summer resort area and sport fishing destination. This Cowichan River which drains the lake is designated as a BC Heritage River. Its major business centre is the tow of Lake Cowichan. Camping, swimming, hiking, boating, fishing and wildlife viewing all available in this area.
