Come and see the world's largest living spruce tree, over 500 years old!

Kitimat BC is located in the Coastal Mountains at the mouth of the Kitimat River and the head of Douglas Channel. It is the third largest port in British Columbia and a great place to enjoy BC's spectacular scenery.

Hiking, biking, fishing and wildlife viewing are all popular activities. Because of the large population of wild life, pepper spray or an air horn is recommended for protection. Trails lead by river, creek and ocean. Golfing, saltwater and fresh water fishing, boating, kayaking are all popular activities.

Kitimat accommodations include motels, bed and breakfasts and campgrounds.

Our lodge in Kitimat, the most comfortable lodge in Northern BC, is nestled beneath coastal mountains and secluded in wilderness. Guests have access to the entire lodge with a cozy library and traditional sitting room with deep chintz sofas and French windows onto the verandas overlooking the sea. Antiques grace the rooms. The warm traditional interior joinery has been hand crafted from BC fir.
