Lake Country BC is an area in the centre of the Okanagan Valley that is comprised of the four communities of Oyama, Winfield, Carr's Landing and Okanagan Centre.

This district became a municipality in 1995 but the communities are distinct, with their own mayors and councilors.

First Nations people lived in the area for centuries and there are signs of settlement dating back nearly 8000 years. European settler came to the area over 100 years ago to ranch and work in the forests and to develop farms and ranches. Orchards and vineyards continue to create the pastoral setting for this area.

Recreation activities include jet skiing, sailing, wake boarding, fishing, canoeing and water skiing and swimming in summer. There is also hiking, golfing, camping and a lot of good walking trails. In winter there is world class downhill skiing in the area as well as cross-country skiing, and ice fishing. Two of the Okanagan's world famous wineries are located in the area so wine-tasting is a must! There is also an excellent Farmers' Market every Friday evening in the summer months. Urban pleasures of fine dining and theatre are also available in the Okanagan.

Our Lake Country RV Park provides 12 acres of lush paradise with 185+ full-service RV sites - monthly, weekly & daily from April through mid-October.
