Horsefly BC is on the border of Wells Grey Provincial Park in the North Cariboo Mountains, between Horsefly and Quesnel Lake. It is an hour's drive from One Hundred and Fifty Mile House. It is a favourite destination for many visitors from around the world.
Spectacular scenery of farmlands, pasture, lakes, meadows, valleys and streams make this an exciting area to explore. Come snowmobile, sail, ice-fish, hunt, river raft, camp or go rock-climbing.
Horsefly is known for its large sockeye salmon run in early September. The Horsefly River Salmon Festival occurs every four years when the run is the biggest. The salmon run also attracts eagles and sometimes grizzly bears.
Horsefly accommodations include dude ranches, resorts, campgrounds and bed and breakfasts. Come and enjoy a truly western experience!
