Princeton BC is located in the southern BC Okanakan Similkameen area in the Cascade Mountains foothills, 284 km (176 mi.) from Vancouver.

En route from Vancouver, the famous Hope-Princeton Highway, also known as the Crowsnest Highway, provides spectacular vistas of the Fraser Canyon, forested mountains and valleys.

An early cattle ranch in the area was called "Prince Town" in honour of the Prince of Wales who came to Canada in the 1860s. Princeton, situated in an area of mountains and rivers, provides a myriad of recreational opportunities. You can try gold panning or rock hounding, go fishing, camping, swimming and canoeing. The peaceful lakes and mountain vistas are a mecca for photographers as well as fishermen. You can enjoy everything from a dude ranch experience to a wilderness adventure or golfing.

In spring and summer the local farm produce is available at a farmer's market. Winter brings visitors for skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing and curling.

Princeton's colourful past includes ranching and the late 1800s gold rush. Stay at Princeton accommodations and enjoy its history is on display in the local museum.
