Come visit the Banana Belt of the Okanagan!

Winfield BC on Wood Lake and Okanagan Lake is the most southerly of the Lake Country towns in the southern Okanagan. It is on the eastern shore of Okanagan Lake, just 38 km (24 mi.) south of Vernon.

The Lake Country is an agricultural area that has been farmed for more than 100 years and it produces 35 per cent of all the apples grown in Canada. Today it is increasingly well known for its vineyards and wineries.

The warm dry climate of the area makes it popular for all water sports include fishing, swimming, waterskiing, boating, sailing and canoeing. Each September the town holds a two day Artwalk event, showcasing Okanagan artists, that draws more than 5000 visitors.

In winter, world class skiing is available on nearby hills and there is cross-country skiing.
