The Shuswap is in south-central British Columbia between Vancouver and Calgary. Both the Trans Canada Hwy and Highway 97 make the Shuswap vacation area easily accessible.
There are thousands of km of shoreline courtesy of the Shuswap Lakes that include great views, places to explore and interesting towns with a wide variety of attractions.
The major towns in The Shuswap include Sorrento, Salmon Arm and Sicamous.
Houseboating is a common form of holidaying from either Salmon Arm or Sicamous. Alternatively, try activities such as agritourism, miniature lands, bridges over waterfalls, go-carts, museums plus excellent local fruit, wineries and cheesemakers.
Winter is also popular in the Shuswap. Sicamous, Enderby and Salmon Arm provide access to local snowmobile trails. For downhill and X-country skiing, Sun Peaks and Silver Star are close by.
